Hey guys! Long time no upload! I've been super busy this summer with a full time job and haven't really had the chance to write much music or do much at all since school ended in May. So I hope you'll forgive me for being inactive for so long.

This song comes from a rather difficult time during the year. I struggled a lot with several instances of depression bad enough that I wouldn't bother to get to class on time or even show up at all. It was hard to keep going most days. I worried a lot about what is going to happen in my future, and I'm not going to pretend that this worry is gone now. There were a lot of sleepless nights this year and there will probably be more.

This song means a lot to me. It's about that struggle of figuring out who you are underneath what seems to be nothing but emptiness. Depression itself is not necessarily universal, but everyone has struggled with figuring out who they are and where they're going to go.

You can look at this is a lot of different lights. I hope this holds some meaning for you too.
