Organ Recital: Ezechiel Daos

Join us for a stirring organ performance by Ezechiel Daos of Atlanta, Georgia. Ezechiel’s program celebrates the depth and breadth of American music with selections by BIPOC, living, and women composers. See the virtuosic pedal solos of Gerre Hancock’s Toccata, which brings the program to a thrilling conclusion.
Our organ recital series features some of the finest organists playing one of America’s great organs. Grace Cathedral’s 7,466-pipe Aeolian-Skinner instrument, the Charles B. Alexander Memorial Organ (1934), is one of the first and finest American classic-style organs and is among the largest church organs in the West. Experiencing music in our gothic cathedral with its unique acoustics, soaring nave, and jewel-like stained glass windows is a feast for the ears, eyes, and soul.

About the Organist
Ezechiel Daos teaches Music at Christ the King School in Atlanta, GA. He also serves as Assistant Director of Music at Glenn Memorial UMC on the campus of Emory University. From 2024-2025, Ezechiel was appointed the Gerre Hancock Intern in Church Music in partnership with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (Atlanta, GA) and the Association of Anglican Musicians.
An advocate for broadening classical music, Ezechiel seeks to program pieces by BIPOC, living, and women composers. Of particular interest is Kundiman, Filipino art songs which were popular in the late 19th/early 20th century. From 2021-2024, Ezechiel served as the Associate Cantor and Paul Bouman Chapel Choir Chair at Lutheran Summer Music. At LSM, Ezechiel combined his interests for liturgy and cultivating passion in young musicians. Ezechiel holds bachelor’s degrees from Central Methodist University and a master’s from the University of North Texas. He studied with Jesse Eschbach, Bradley Bennight, Jonelle Loehnig, Melissa Simons, and Susan Quigley-Duggan.
