The Blue Pool (Tamolitch Falls) in Oregon is one of the clearest and most unreal places I’ve ever seen. Located along the McKenzie River Trail near McKenzie Bridge, this short hike leads to a deep, crystal-clear pool where the river disappears underground and resurfaces through lava rock.
The hike is about 4 miles round trip with some rocky sections, but nothing too technical. It’s a must-do if you’re in the area - even if you’re not much of a hiker.
Water temps stay around 37–40°F year-round, so while it looks inviting… it’s no joke. If you're riding or exploring around McKenzie Bridge or Oakridge, this is an easy add-on that’s 100% worth it.
