I wanted to see if Brewster would let me order 100 cups of coffee in a row, since he gives you a a cautionary warning after the first cup. This turned into a surreal exchange of ordering coffee after coffee, locking eyes with the tuxedo pigeon as I gulp down more caffeine and hop right back onto the barstool for more. Because I watched the same animation 100 times, I started to notice a few funny things about it all:
• The entire ordeal took a little over an hour (speeding through dialogue, it’s about a 40 second wait to order a single cup)
• Assuming Brewster gives you a clean mug every time, he’ll have to wash 100 separate, empty cups because of this experiment
• To order one cup of coffee, there are nine total actions to perform (starting with tilting the control stick to hop up onto the barstool, then tapping “A” for each text box)
• The level of coffee in the pot he’s pouring from will never change. It’s bottomless
• Your character’s legs stick straight out while sitting on the barstool, and their hands hover above their laps. It looks super uncomfortable
• There are a few Easter eggs to find, such as Brewster’s Gyroid storage in the back and some familiar photographs hanging on the wall!
• The player character randomly cycles through 11 different descriptions of the coffee, along with their facial reaction (eyes & mouth open, eyes closed & smiling, eyes open with a smile, eyes & smiling mouth open, X eyes with smile). These are not tied to text boxes so your character can say the same thing but physically react in a slightly different way!
