There's an international spin on our Orchestra Over the Fence series this week! Principal Tuba Thomas Allely is joined digitally by Scott Sutherland, all the way from California. Thomas and Scott are performing an excerpt of the first movement of Rimsky-Korsakov's 'Scheherazade' Op.35, arranged by Scott.
A word from Thomas about this collaboration - "I met Scott at the 2015 Pokorny Low Brass Seminar at the University of Redlands, where he teaches. I’ve always admired his playing and his YouTube videos are amazing, so he was the first person I thought about when the idea for an 'Orchestra Across the Ocean' occurred to me. This was a fun one to work on with him!" 🎼
