This is Orange Noise, a custom variation of Pink Noise focused on low to low-mid frequency energy approximately 70 Hz to 200 Hz. blended with a recording of inside the cabin of an airliner on a trans-Atlantic flight.
Listeners have commented that Orange Noise is reminiscent of airliner flight, so I thought a combination of these two sounds would be a fun addition to the library.
The combination gives you the organic texture of real cabin ambience with the additional depth of a tuned frequency underneath. The result masks irregular sounds that interrupt sleep without adding harshness.
This recording was made aboard a Boeing 747 on a transatlantic crossing between Germany and the United States; genuine cruise-altitude cabin ambience captured over the Atlantic. Not a synthesized approximation. Not a studio recreation. The sounds of people have been eliminated so it is just the flight noise
