In this oral history Nicola Acutt, Chief Sustainability Officer at VMware, focuses on the evolving approach to sustainability in VMware and technology companies generally.

She also discusses her youth and early career in South Africa, her academic work at UC Berkeley and in the United Kingdom, her role as Dean of Curriculum at the Presidio Graduate school, and her career at VMware as the first executive director of its Foundation and the company’s first CSO.
