Happy New Year everyone, here’s a Pioneer VSX-D702S receiver from 1993. But why is the VFD display bluish versus amber?

Because this was the Optimus RadioShack version, the STAV-3400.

I give this receiver credit for trying to make things fun, it still has a pretty well packed display. But nothing like what was available a few years earlier.

This receiver is stated to be 105 W per channel and I think that’s an optimistic expectation but it is strong and a good unit.

Happy New Year everyone!
