Bonjour mes amis, today I decided to offer you River Of Emeralds. It's a brand new song of mine about fighting the demons inside your safest of haven. It's about throwing all your beliefs deep down to the bottom of a well, and about letting your closest friends drink from that very same source. What is the kind of poison we've all been drinking? What has it done to us? Those are the questions knocking, knocking, and knocking again on the doors of my mind. Our system of beliefs how did it become so blinding? How did it become so destructive? Emeralds for me signify the sweetest of poison. Green is an intoxicating colour, but is still transparent through Emeralds. How do we get the poison out of our system? What is harmful to us, is not harmful to others. That is the source of conflict in this song. River Of Emeralds is about a witch who has pleaded guilty for poisoning the water in the well. And the witch is trying to make all the people of the village see that the water in the well is not poisoned, it's just red. It's just simply red, but now why did the witch turn the water red. She decided to give her life for the sake of their immorality. How wrongful they are in burning what their logic does not comprehend. How wrongful they are in burning what their logic understands as magic? Which side are you on? Would you dare drink the water in my cup, or would you forsake the innocent? Choose carefully, because the apple I've picked for you is a lot more rotten than what it seems. Who would give his own life away to taste the witch's potion? Is it poison afterall? What do you believe? Would you give your own life away for the sake of Justice? Or will you surrender to them, the people of your village, your closest friends. Will you surrender to them? Or, will you fight for her name, for Ophéliane. Would you fight for her? Would you fight for me? If the answer is yes than you are wrongfully right. If the anwer is no, than you are rightfully wrong. Why? What is Justice? Cry it to me. Cry for me your river of emeralds she screamed. The end is tragic indeed, but her message will live on, and will bruise the villagers who chose to forsake her, but those who cried, will rejoice as the water in the well, contained no poison afterall.
