From 25 November to 06 December 2024, Operation Maharlika IV brought together eight Southeast Asian countries in a region-wide counterterrorism effort, targeting the movement of transnational terrorists, organized crime groups, and firearms trafficking across borders.
Led by the INTERPOL Counter-Terrorism Directorate (CTOPS) and supported by a coalition of specialized units and task forces, this intelligence-led operation involved over 2.5 million border security checks, simultaneous national operations, and international information-sharing mechanisms to safeguard the region.

Brunei🇧🇳, Cambodia🇰🇭, Indonesia🇮🇩, Laos🇱🇦, Malaysia🇲🇾, Philippines🇵🇭, Thailand🇹🇭, Vietnam🇻🇳
🇸🇬 Singapore participated as an Observer
🛡️ Key Achievements:
81 arrests, including terrorism and drug trafficking suspects
8.7 kg of illicit drugs and ~€810,000 worth of illegal goods seized
Over two million checks against INTERPOL databases
24 Stolen & Lost Travel Documents hits, 17 nominal hits including 9 Red Notices

Timely intelligence sharing and targeted enforcement
Deployment of INTERPOL mobile and biometric capabilities

The operation was coordinated under INTERPOL Project CT-SEA with support from the @aseanapolsecretariat8876 and multiple INTERPOL directorates.
