Buddhism neither affirms nor denies existence, and defines all doctrines as "provisional" or "needing further interpretation". Even one's own school's doctrine was "provisional" insofar as it is stated in words. Some schools define some doctrines as "definitive" requiring no further interpretation. Hence, the debates. No one is "wrong," they just need some more edumacation!
