Support for ROMFS in OpenMV IDE is coming soon for all OpenMV Cams! ROMFS is a new feature that allows you to store memory-mapped binary assets, which can be used in-place by your OpenMV Cam without being loaded into RAM off of the FLASH disk.
For example, with ROMFS, you can load a 10 MB+ model into FLASH, which can be executed in-place by the NPU onboard your OpenMV N6 and AE3. This saves 10MB of RAM and moves memory bus traffic for weight fetching off of the SDRAM/SRAM on your OpenMV N6 and AE3.
