The deaths of the Tudor kings and queens were often just as dramatic as their reigns. Between 1485 and 1603, the Tudor dynasty transformed England forever. It survived rebellions, religious upheaval, foreign wars and family betrayals, yet every Tudor monarch eventually faced the same fate. Some died after years of terrible suffering, while others endured heartbreaking emotional pain in their final days. Looking back over the dynasty, it becomes clear that being a Tudor monarch offered wealth and power, but it certainly did not guarantee a peaceful death.
