The OECD Roundtable on Global Financial Markets promotes engagement and co-operation between the OECD’s community of financial policy makers and regulators, industry stakeholders and financial market experts. Held during the biannual OECD Financial Markets Week, each edition has a thematic focus on cross-cutting market developments and policy issues.
The Fall 2025 edition centres on capital markets for competitiveness and growth, emphasising the role capital markets can play in driving economic growth, market innovation, national competitiveness and future prosperity, as well as the tensions and challenges related to their expansion.
The Roundtable covers three areas:
- the role of institutional investors, notably insurers and pension funds;
- the challenge of meeting sustainability goals and supporting long-term economic and business objectives; and
- the transformative impact of digital innovation on financial market efficiency, transparency and resilience.
