I broke my collar bone when I was 15 in karate and this is the only exercise movement I have found that opens my chest but only as far as I need for it to become strong without harming the muscles. I was inspired by parallel bar gymnasts who seem to jump between two sections of tubing in the sky. Here the bars are connected into a circle. I feel it is best represented as a heart chakra opening movement because it will open your heart with the hoop. As your arms are stretching out you are expanding the lower reaches of your lungs for an increase in oxygen. You are also helping your posture display confidence with an arched back and raised gaze. The move can be done very fluidly by rotating the hoop on your body whenever and wherever it touches you. The upper body workout is also phenomenal!
