In this video i am talking a bit about the new hardware revisions and what challenges had to be faced in the development.
We are slowly moving towards being a stable hardware platform fit for further development.
The old FFBoard did not have enough pins and would have made development much harder than needed.
The new board has more reserved pins and even a CAN interface and emergency stops.
The new motor driver is almost a complete redesign and fixes all issues mentioned in the last update.
Chapters:
0:00 Intro
1:06 FFBoard STM32F407
3:22 Emergency stop
3:55 CAN Demo
4:47 Solving DFU clock issues
7:21 Ordering boards at JLC
8:36 Software changes
9:50 PWM update
10:30 New GUI features
11:34 Constant force filtering
12:00 Deadband FFB
12:40 TMC4671 Driver changes
17:28 SinCos encoders
19:27 Solving driver issues
20:02 Summary + End
With this video i also want to make you aware that all the production files for the USB interface are available in the git.
Warning: please be aware that this project is WORK IN PROGRESS. Its designed for DEVELOPERS who know the limitations, want to help out or can live with bugs and changes. This is not a finished product.
