If you die just as you grab the master sword, you will have 0 health during the light medallion and sheik cutscenes. Then, you will die when the legendary blade cutscene begins, skipping it. This might save a couple seconds if you route damage during DoT skip.
When putting the bomb behind you as I did, the frame to press A is the biggest blue frame. I used frame advance to make sure I hit the frame correctly, that's why it looks a little weird in the video. I haven't experimented at all with frame windows besides finding one that worked.
