The province is currently monitoring 41 active fires in Northeastern Ontario and 69 active fires in Northwestern Ontario. Officials have also revoked evacuation orders and travel restrictions around Thunder Bay 36 & 56 and Dryden 34 & 35, allowing residents and visitors to return to the area. Large fires within the Rinker Lake Complex and Atikokan Cluster remain active, though firefighting efforts continue to make progress. Meanwhile, fire activity at the massive Rinker Lake Complex remains low, with crews focusing on hotspot suppression and scaling back equipment as conditions improve.
