Onomatopoeia is when you create a word out of the sound or concept that is represents. For our purposes this means writing music in the orchestra that mimics or elicits sounds from real life. Incredibly common in film scores, it still occasionally makes an appearance in other music too.
We'll start by talking about what the texture is, take a look at an example from Beethoven's 6th Symphony, the "Pastorale", and then put the theory to use by actually applying the texture to the main theme from Breath of the Wild.
