The whole time I was editing this I was on the edge of like tearing up…man this scene has played in my mind so many times since Friday….and hence why you get two edits this week because I needed to get this out of my system. I mean idk if it even counts as a proper edit I really just stuck scenes in and was like 'suffer this scene with the music I listened to after this ep'. I also stuck in the game version in because UH SMILES? LIKE THEY COULDN'T REACH EACH OTHER BUT NOT LIKE THISSS. ..also I didn't have to edit the ending scene at all the beat matched the song anyway….it was weird. BUT MEANT TO BE I GUESS.

Just to note I'm fine that they made the change this way to fit the anime, I'm guessing they don't want to do a flashback like in the game to keep the flow going for week 2 when we meet Joshua but sTill. I didn't think they were going to do it LIKE THAT.

Someone on twitter pointed out that in ep3 they had lots of physical contact and said that it was buildup all leading to when Neku COULDN'T reach her when he wanted to. PAIN. Also if you notice at the 35 second point there are two times Shiki reaches her hand out to Neku and he doesn't take it that are from his first-person perspective and when they do Shiki trying to reach for him as she's fading they ALSO do this in first-person perspective only he DOES try to reach her but CAN'T. PAAAAAAAAAAAIN.

The angst editor in me relishes this but also editing this was pain so. SO.

SO IN THE GAME. She just stumbles along and then finds out she's his entry fee and it's a little awks but cute. BUT SHE DISAPPEARED LIKE THAT?! THE REUNION HAS TO BE EMOTIONALLY CHARGED RIGHT? RIGHT? I'M NOT READY.

I mean I am. BUT IM NOT.

This whole thing gives me contradictions, I'm, just like 'the neshiki is strong with this one' and then I'm also like BUT AT WHAT COST.

p.s. I did consider lowering the flashes opacity cause they're strong but you know what have the 2010 style flashes for an old editing song
