Jared McCulloch took his two dogs, Roxy Mae and Rusty, on a 500 mile, last minute road trip from his home in Louisiana, to Illinois to see his son.
He was seen several times at local gas stations, but he never arrived at his destination.
At least not that anyone knows.
His truck would be found abandoned, doors open, key left on, no gas and a dead battery.
The strangest thing of all, his two travel companions, his dogs, sat in the back seat, leashes on, faithfully waiting for Jared to return.
