Plastic never biodegrades. Most of the plastic you see here will be downcycled, perhaps only once. Downcycled plastics are often not recyclable. That means the plastic bottles you see here will get turned into a non-recyclable plastic like a park bench or a car part, and will eventually end up in a landfill. ⠀
