So much about creature design is based on animal appearance but what can we use to make creatures feel like they have personality and habits? How can we make them more than just a mashup of parts? This workshop will explore the practice of observing animal behavior as a starting point to inspire creature designs!
For this workshop, we will apply our observations to a mythical creature that can take many shapes and forms: Dragons. In this lesson, I will cover a variety of animals, their peculiar behaviors that help them survive, and then use those behavioral observations to inspire dragon design ideas!
