German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence | Online Process Planning for Intralogistics and Production in the BaSys Middleware for Industrie 4.0 @dfkivideo | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 day ago
A central aspect of Industrie 4.0 is the holistic, adaptive orchestration of intralogistics and manufacturing processes in industrial production. In addition to intelligent and powerful algorithms for planning and optimizing the entire factory process, this requires real-time data from the store floor in order to be able to adapt planning to the current state of all assets involved in manufacturing and intralogistics at any time.

The video shows key results of the BaSys satellite project "BaSynaos," in which online planning software in the form of the SYNAOS Intralogistics Management Platform (synaos.com) was connected to the BaSys middleware for Industrie 4.0 (https://www.basys40.de) for the first time. A partially simulated production process is shown, in which the route and the process planning is based on uniform access to planning-relevant real-time data through asset administration shells and control of the assets through manufacturer-independent, operational interfaces in the form of control components.
