for a good few years, I'd spend ages planning out vast amounts of content to make on YouTube, but most of the ideas would either get shelved or scrapped midway. making vlogs like these helped my creativity afloat, but most importantly, this vlog represents the ending of my school education here in england. unlike most of the videos i've deleted/privated (100+), this 2016 vlog will never be removed, and will always have a place in my heart as a reminder of some of the best years of my life. even in the coming decades, i will always look back at this vlog as some kind of a time capsule.
everything you see in this video is pretty much gone as of 2021. west orchards coventry? it's all changed. debenhams went bust (lol). the food courts have been 'modernised'. most of the shops have been refitted. the town centre has been plunged into the modern era by chapman taylor. even that massive ikea store is gone.
but most of all, everything good about this era, whether it was the music, culture, gaming, social interactions, or even just the cleaner air- it was all greater than whatever clusterfk we have today. collectively, most of us only dream of going back to a time like this.
