6th time playing, 2 Normal Runs for both 2016 and WME versions, 2 solstice runs for each and one "Recording" run for a cheevo I missed, this time, back top the roots, the real deal, the only and one chance I have.
2014 versions is very, VERY different from the final versions, to be expected of a game contest, or game jam, whatever the case may be. 2014 version is short, ranging from 1 hour to 1 hour and a half, a lot of elements are missing from the Steam releases, namely locals, some items and some NPCs, again, to be expected of this first version.
The game is... well, the same with some changes, the barrens is the place where you may spend most time on, I spent 20-30 minutes in it alone cuz I am blind apparently and didn't saw the poison vent in the floor, still, this fist portion is the one that requires the most items and time to move to the next section, the Glen, the glen is missing the robot village at the south, some parts of the Maze/Ruins like the brothers and items, as a result, this area is short, around 15 minutes, after that you move to the refugee which is even shorter, all you have here is the cafeteria and the dice gal, contrary to the apartments, factory, vendors and a library, what I'm trying to say is that this is the shortest section yet, almost feels rushed, even without comparing it to the Steam ports, it's that short. After going to sleep one last time and receiving the Die, you need to move through a crossroad with idk what indications really, it may have been in a book in the library I didn't read or couldn't read well because the font is fucked up. After that you just make your choice, return the sun or let Niko leave, and this is my canonical decision since the very beginning, the world has been constantly crying about how the sun isn't going to fix shit so there it is.
Overall, this is a neat experiment which you may not enjoy if you come from the Steam Version, play it if you want but remember, this is not the steam version, if you close the game in any other way that is not via the beds, you can't return, there's no second chance, you have no more than OneShot
