How can a Split Chain made with two different colored threads appear in just one color?
The key is a simple thread switch. Before starting the second part of the Split Chain, the two threads are exchanged using a simple knot. This changes which color becomes the working thread.
After the threads have changed places, the second part of the Split Chain is worked in the usual way, using the reverse side of the needle. The result is a Split Chain that appears in a single color, even though two different colored threads are being used.
