One of my favourite defensive riding skills is what I call 'backing-up' ... here we have an example of slowing to a stop where I couldn't filter due to not enough gap between cars, therefore leaving me vulnerable to a rear end collision if a driver left it too late to brake by being inattentive. Watch my rear camera (probably best on a big screen) and see how I slow up the car behind before I run out of space to my front. This allowed me to then stop safely and also gave room for an escape route if required. Always watch your arse.
