In this part, we find out that we cannot freely explore as we were initially told, and must go to the Volcano Region, Flare Pool, first. Before doing so, we explore what we can of the other regions while continuing to explore Sol Valley along the way to Flare Pool. Upon arriving in Flare Pool however, we are cut short by the bridge collapsing and are forced to leave.

- The game somewhat misleads us at this point. We are more or less told we can explore and go after any of the remaining three Master Teleporter Keys that we want next, but that isn't true at all. The "Icy" Region in the Northwest will be slightly open to us, but will be quickly locked behind a thick sheet of ice that we can't deal with just yet. The "Chasm" Region in the Northeast is impossible to reach without a familiar upgrade from previous games. This leaves just the Volcano Region of Flare Pool in the Southeast that we HAVE to go to first in order to progress anywhere.
- It may seem we are hitting nothing but dead ends, however there is one thing left in Flare Pool that we'll be obtaining in the next part.
