Hello Sports Fans, this is my One Tank Challenge | How Far Can My Suzuki Jimny Go? | South Downs to Kent Adventure
For this adventure, I’m eating, sleeping, and drinking entirely out of my Suzuki Jimny — no shops, no cafés, no accommodation, and no refuelling. Everything I need comes with me from the start.
How far can a Suzuki Jimny really go on just one tank of fuel?
In this video, I take my little green Jimny on a real-world One Tank Challenge, setting off from Devil’s Dyke in the South Downs with a full tank and no refuelling allowed — wherever the fuel runs out, that’s where the adventure ends.
The journey takes me through some of the most beautiful parts of Southern England, including winding South Downs roads, iconic coastal views, historic towns, and a night of micro stealth camping in the Jimny itself.
From Devil’s Dyke, I travel past the Seven Sisters cliffs, stopping at Birling Gap, before heading east through West Sussex and into East Sussex. After passing Eastbourne, I reach Hastings, where I take a short walk and visit the historic castle before continuing the journey as the sun begins to set.
As night falls, I cross into Kent and set up a low-profile stealth camp in the Jimny. Dinner is simple — just MRE ration packs — before settling in for the night and seeing how comfortable a micro-camper Jimny can really be.
At first light, I pack up and head to the furthest point of the challenge: the eerie and iconic Dungeness Sound Mirrors. After exploring and capturing some great footage, I turn inland toward Lydd Airport, then on to the medieval town of Rye, where I walk the cobbled streets, visit the church and castle, and finish off the last of the rations for breakfast.
The return leg takes me via Pevensey Castle, through Lewes, and down to Newhaven, revisiting an old camping spot before heading back along the coast through Saltdean. Just before sunset, I roll back into Devil’s Dyke — all on one single tank of fuel.
No refuelling. No shortcuts. Just the Jimny, the road, and one tank to see how far it would go.
