Using a combination of Distress Oxides, botanical stamping, and Kuretake brush pens, I build up gentle layers of colour and texture before adding a focal image taken from the hawthorn hedge at the front of our property. The result is a page that feels very much connected to the season and the landscape around me.
This piece is also inspired by Beltane, celebrated on the first of May, and continues a seasonal thread from a previous page I created for Imbolc earlier in the year. It is a quiet nod to the turning of the wheel and the small, beautiful changes happening in nature.
I hope this brings a little inspiration for your own seasonal crafting, whether you are working in a journal, cardmaking, or simply enjoying time with your supplies.
