The humans still able to do so make a last attempt to reach the power plant, the mythical center of the Zone, in the hopes that something there will avert their doom. For Zig and Rho, it's finally the chance they have been looking for. They head towards Pripyat, sure that if anyone can make it through, it will be them. But is what is waiting for them on the other side really what both of them want?
This is the final part of this story - thanks for listening! One day I shall put together a book version, so be ready for 'Roadside Picnic 2' sometime this century.
The next game-fiction project will be based on TW Attila's Ancient Empire mod, covering the rediscovery of a forgotten age of civilisation, as ancient to the people of the 200s BCE as they are to us. Still working on the details of what exactly this is going to be, but I'll get something out as soon as I can and take it from there.
