It's February 2022, and I'm back at Lofty after a year of Covid delays! Due to major flooding west of Adelaide, not many trains are running , but thankfully , the grain can get to the Harbour!
Just round the bend from Mt' Lofty station , a loaded ORA grain train climbs the 2.2% grade to the summit. The 3 GW class EMD's work hard and lay sand to keep their consist moving uphill ,through the curves . If you Listen hard , you can hear the wheels slipping as the train passes the camera.
