Was this the perfect Saturday night? When you start by listening to Portrait by Samara Joy, you really can't go wrong!

Dinner tonight was made easy by my freezer and pantry. I made this seafood simmer recipe with a jar of marinara sauce ( @Mezzetta is my favorite brand. It has perfectly balanced flavor and no added sugar) jazzed up with homemade Creole seasoning blend, Worcestershire, and hot sauce.

A five quart sauté pan like this one from @BeautifulByDrew fits everything nicely

I keep my freezer stocked with fish and shrimp that can be cooked right from frozen. Tonight, we had Pollock, but cod would do just fine. Even some of the peppers and onions were from the freezer because I'd run out of fresh.

There was only one lonely @RogerWoodfoods sausage left in the fridge, so I chopped that up and added it in. It adds a lovely flavor to the dish.

Add a splash of heavy cream and let it simmer until the sauce is thick as you like it and serve with rice or bread.

Shout out to @sipwinewater for sending that refreshing rosé blended with sparkling water for me to enjoy while cooking dinner. That was a lovely gift! #cookwithme #dinnerideas
