For our best experience in Talkeetna, we took the famous Hurricane Turn Train - one of the last trains in the nation to provide flagstop service! This means you can hop on or off anywhere along the route through the Alaskan wilderness.

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing, sharing stories and information the entire journey. The views are incredible, and we even caught a partial view of Denali from the train. The turnaround point is right in the middle of Hurricane Gulch bridge - it's high up there! 😅

Plan for 4-5 hours and bring your own snacks and drinks (no food service onboard). If you're in Talkeetna and want an authentic Alaska experience, the Hurricane Turn Train is an absolute must-do! 🚂
