Photography professionals do not read their user manuals enough
I recently received a comment from one of the viewers about a shortcut to format a camera card on the Fujifilm X-T2 which solved a problem of going into the menu on the x-T2 lcd screen. It solved a problem I had had for a long time. He has also mentioned that it was in the user manual as a shortcut. But most importantly got me to thinking. “Why did I not know what he had just said?” Aw maaan. I realized that I had not taken the time to read the user manual of a camera I had bought 1 year ago. Not proud at all.
You see the reason why I had not read it was because I was a pro. I was way too busy to actually take the time to read it. Gigs come and go and I really did not have the time to get myself to sitting down and reading all the camera had to offer. It was also because my past expertise makes me know the actual workflow of every camera. This makes me assume thatI know how the new camera works. Therefore the mistake is in not learning the manual.
