In this video we give our first impressions of Funchal Madeira Portugal (Day 7). Funchal is the capital, largest city and the municipal seat of Portugal's Autonomous Region of Madeira, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. The city has a population of 105,795, making it the sixth largest city in Portugal. Because of its high cultural and historical value, Funchal is one of Portugal's main tourist attractions. This is all happening during our Transatlantic cruise onboard Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas. For our repositioning cruise, we left out of Civitavecchia Italy and are on our way to the United States of America. We booked the cheapest room, which is also called an inside or interior stateroom. In Funchal we will scope out the incredible views, find some delicious food, and see as much as we can before we have to head back to the ship. This cruise is for 15 nights, but we had such a memorable day!
