I’m told that around 2016 local fisherman in QLD had their businesses destroyed by fishing bans yet Sri Lankans were illegally fishing and telling the Rangers they were native Australians so they'd get away with it. Pauline was quite vocal on this and this was one of the reasons she used to justify this big brother card.
The fisherman story I hadn’t read about until a user incel target practice in the comments mentioned it . From her maiden speech 2016 and her call for the new identity card she used Muslims and the indigenous as the example to justify the big brother card at least from articles that I can find.
As a national biometric scheme, One Nation's proposed ID card would involve all adults registering their fingerprints.
Their mantra was, "if you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear."
One nation are not champions of freedom but full on authoritarian..
