Nothing is right in this clip. That's why I love it!
There's nothing that works in this clip I made today.
I created the music in ComfyUI using a "dynamic prompt" with Vace Audio V1.5, combining the idea of Paris 1900 (accordion, waltzes, etc.) and randomly selecting a poem by Paul-Jean Toulet, which I adore. For the music, I requested modulations everywhere because that's how I like music. ComfyUI produces a 1-minute piece in... 2 minutes.
So, I made a lot of images of Paris, people at night, empty rooms, ladies with spiders (because it's strange), and musicians, using Z-Image Turbo, a very powerful recent model for photos.
I animated these images with WAN 2.2, then edited everything on my Mac with iMovie today Sunday, rather casually, I must confess.
Nothing works. The "artistic" approach lacks rigor. There are tons of mistakes in the images (just look at the musicians, haha!). The music, which I admit I love, modulates, but the lyrics are incomprehensible, and there are off notes in the vocal melodies—it "drops out," which I find strangely human. There’s not really a story, just impressions, a nightmare with an accordion...
In the end, all the flaws make it strange, and that’s what I was looking for.
