I haven't written anything like this since the start of this year when I wrote 'I'll Be Your Memory' as I was thinking of the passing of my mum's partner. Sadly this year my mum passed away on Easter Sunday at the age of 56. I miss her dearly and I never knew what I was going to do without her, I still don't, she was the closest person in my life and that will never heal.
I knew at some point I would write something as I thought of her and know I'd never do it justice, maybe some day I will. She loved music and I know what she liked of mine, she never liked the aggressive choir pieces but I could always get her to listen to the soft pieces and songs like this, she would always say "yeah I like that!" after as she listened to them with her eyes closed and I know she was proud of me. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be where I am now with music, she gave me the chance to follow my dreams and I'll never get over that she didn't get to see them fully come true. And I owe it to her to make sure that they do come true.
This place is yet again somewhere for me to express myself and be a therapy of its own, I thank you all for listening to my music and my thoughts over the years. I know many of the comments that were said on my songs were also ones my mum saw and ones I talked about, they also made her day and I thank you for that. I hope wherever she is now that she's at peace and knows we're ok. (Also I'm sorry Mum for using Dark Souls imagery in the video, it just fits my channel and some people probably won't listen if it's something else lol.)
It's been nearly 5 months now and this year has already thrown enough in my way, it's time now to be moving forward. I am doing fine and looking forward to the future. I have soundtracks to work on, the next Time album that this will be a part of and many other things. I may not be able to post much content in the near future because of work but we'll see what happens, either way the Time album will be what's next.
