In this video, we are wrapping up our Acadia National Park RV trip with a bang! We take the dogs to Cadillac Mountain—before exploring some hidden gems right at our campground. Then, we head into downtown Bar Harbor for a quick breakfast a short walk around town.
CAMPING DETAILS: We stayed at Smugglers Den Campground in Southwest Harbor. It’s a fantastic spot on the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island.
Why we liked it: It has direct access to hiking trails (Echo Lake Beach is walkable!) and within 30 minute of Acadia Nation Park.

Dog Friendly? YES! Very dog friendly. (Tip: While dogs are welcome on most trails, they are strictly prohibited on the "ladder trails" like Precipice or Beehive). Smugglers Den was also very pet friendly.
