A while back Kirilee Cosplay ( youtube.com/channel/UCI9N4A_1RCzdytqtF-e_nrg ) issued a challenge, to make a costume in one day. So I did all my making and sewing and most of my filming back in May, while my state was still under stay-at-home orders. But when it came to modeling my finished piece, I kept putting it off and putting it off, until finally, a month later, I gave up and tossed it on my dressform for finished shots. Yay procrastination!
The book mentioned comes from the amazing APL site ( antiquepatternlibrary.org ), which is a huge collection of scanned 19th and early 20th century public domain crafting books. They have lots and lots of different categories, and while most of the books are in English, there are also French and German publications as well. And possibly other languages, but those are the only other two I recall seeing.

The book features mostly crocheted patterns, but there are some for tatting, as well as a couple that incorporate tapes and trims, including wide rickrack!
