One of my favorite Arabic expressions is:
على راسي
It literally means:
on my head
But what it really means is:
of course, I’ll do itanything for you
It’s a “yes”… but warmer.
The kind of yes that comes with respect.
The first time my students hear it, they laughbecause they picture someone physically putting things on their head 😅
But once you get it, you start hearing it everywhere.
Arabic doesn’t just answer. It adds feeling to the answer.
What’s a “warm yes” in your language?
💊 Pill of Arabic
