In October and November of 1960, Tunku Abdul Rahman, prime minister of Malaya, visited the U.S. His visit was documented by USIA photographers. These are outtakes of his visit to San Francisco, Hollywood and Disneyland. They show California's newest highways, the cable cars of San Francisco, a visit to a Western backlot, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball meeting some of the prime minister's entourage, and of course a visit to Disneyland.
Like most of the USIA library stock footage, the original film is silent, so I've added a track from Errol Garner's Concert by the Sea to it.
