In parallel to our work on the On Running films we collaborated with the digital team at On to tell the CloudTec story through scrollable animations on their website.
Getting called on board early in their process we were able to plan for synergies between the website animations and the film. The cloud at the beginning of the film that morphs into a single Cloud pod and then grows into the entire CloudTec sole was only the tip of the iceberg.
Our 3D artists used cloud simulations not only to create the clouds but also to grow the foam to form the sole in a way that fits the whole cloud theme. And as our animators recreated a slow-motion step for the website they could reference our filmed footage to perfectly mimic the soles behaviour.
