Fourth-year dental students at the School of Dentistry have the opportunity to participate in the Community Based Collaborative Care and Education (CBCE) program, where they rotate between different dental clinics throughout Michigan to provide care to various community members.

The program is a year-round graded course in the curriculum, where students rotate between 15 external clinics every two weeks.

One location of their rotation is Cherry Health Heart of the City in Grand Rapids, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing care to mostly underserved populations in the city.
