In this edition of On Record we are taking a closer look at this revolutionary component encompassing the future of robotic and autonomous warfare.
Legion-X is a multi-faceted network combat system for autonomous and unmanned/manned teaming missions. It uses AI-driven technology to transform the nature of human machine teaming missions in a range of battle domains.
Using the Legion X autonomous management application, an operator communicates mission details and assigns tasks to system components, leaving the participating unmanned vehicles to carry out the mission.
While the Legion X has the ability to adapt to any mission using a variety of Elbit Systems products, this particular demonstration focused on border protection, surveillance and targeting, as well as deploying ground sensors for autonomous observation that can monitor an area independently for up to three weeks.
