Elbit Systems Emirates has landed its first local contract, only two months after announcing its establishment. The UAE Air Force awarded the Company a fifty three million dollar contract, to supply its Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft with the J-MUSIC™ DIRCM system, and an Infra-Red-based Passive Airborne Warning System. The Company’s DIRCM systems have accumulated more than 350,000 operational flight hours to date, having been selected for installation onboard more than 25 types of aircraft among them the Airbus A400 of the German Air Force, NATO’s Airbus 330s and the aircraft fleets of the three Israeli commercial airliners.
