We are excited to welcome Dr. Ronald Williams II to campus as our keynote speaker. The title of Dr. Williams' address is "On Juneteenth: Black Struggle, Black Freedom and Black Restitution".
Ronald Williams II is assistant professor of African American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he teaches courses in history, politics, and public policy in the Department of African, African American, and Diaspora Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
Program attendees will also hear from Wayne State's Provost, Dr. Mark Kornbluh, and Associate Provost for DEI / Chief Diversity Officer, Dr. Marquita Chamblee.
