This is a presentation inspired by the soul of the universe, the primordial “A-U-M”. Omkaar represents the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, embodied by auspicious Lord Ganesha. Om is the single utterance that completes every mantra in ancient scriptures, it is the fountainhead of NaadYog (Yog of Sound).
Chatarang is a traditional, classical amalgamation of 4 creative forms/colors: kaavya, sargam, mridang nom-tom and tarana bol. This is an original composition by Dr. Vikas Kashalkar, in Raag Kedar. The concept was adapted, designed and arranged by Manasi Joshi-Singh (Lead Vocals) and Sudha Subbaraman (Lead Vocals). Infused with harmony and sounds of nature, this melange leads us to the omnipresent Omkaar Aadinaad, reverberating amidst the 5 universal elements, and within us. Energetic camaraderie of the two vocalists, a bright dialogue between the percussionists, Shivam Pathak (Tabla, Harmony Vocals) and Hariharasudhan (Mridangam), and resonating strings by Visham Pathak (Sitar), all bring alive this unique offering.
